How to Fix Deleted iPhone Messages Still Show Up Problem

Permanently Delete iPhone Text Messages by Syncing them on iTunes and iCloud

When we sync our iPhone messages to iTunes and iCloud backup after deleting them, then they will help us mark those messages with deleting. Then those deleted messages will be gone.

Now follow below steps and delete your iPhone text messages permanently, then they won’t show up.

For iCloud:

1.Connect your iPhone with Wifi, go to Setting--iCloud, log in it with your Apple ID and password.

2.Then Turn on iCloud drive and Message button, tap on “Backup”, and confirm with “Backup Now”. Also we can turn on “Auto Backup” option, and our messages will be synced to iCloud by itself.



For iTunes:

1.Launching your iTunes, connect your iPhone with PC.

2.When it’s recognized, click iPhone image icon, tap on “Backup Now” on the right page, and confirm with “Backup”.



Delete Message App from Spotlight Search

When our messages are deleted, we can still search them via Sportlight search, but if we remove our messages app from Spotlight search, we won’t search them via Spotlight search.

1.Open your iPhone, go to Setting--General--Spotlight Search.

2.Then find option “Message”, turn it off. And go to Spotlight, you couldn’t search your messages there.

Restore iPhone to Factory Setting

We can also delete our messages by restoring our iPhone to factory setting, but it will erase our iPhone data, so we’d better not to do it.
