Some people may be confused with SMS and iMessages, here we’ll tell you the difference between them.

You can tell the difference from the color of your sent messages. When your sent messages is blue, it’s sent by iMessage; and if it’s green, it’s sent with SMS or MMS

Also iMessages is send through Wifi, and it’s free, while SMS is sent through carrier wireless, and it’s charged by your carrier.

And if the receiver don’t register their iMessages, they won’t receive iMessages, and you can enable SMS to make sure that they can still get your messages.

Send Group Messages

How could we send group messages view iMessages? I haven’t done it before.

Open your Messages app, and tap on the image icon on the right top corner, which looks like a pen is writing on a book.

Then input the contact name or its phone number, and you can tap “+” next to it and add more contacts.

Now edit the messages and send it out, and all those contacts will receive your message.

And if they registered their iMessages, they’ll receive as iMessages, otherwise, they will receive it as SMS.

Share Location

Like some chat apps, we can also share our location view iMessages.

1.now open your message app, tap on the conversation with the one you need to share your location.

2.then click information button on the right top corner, and click “Send My Current Location”.

Silent iMessage Conversation

When you’re in office or a meeting, and your iMessages keeps ringing, you may need it silent, how could we do it?

Firstly, we can mute our iPhone by turn the button upper volume button down, then we couldn’t hear it. But we couldn’t hear other voice as well.

Second, you can open your Messages app, and tap on “Detail” to turn on “Do Not Disturb”, and it won’t turn on “Do Not Disturb” of everything on our iPhone.

Block Contacts

When you don’t want to receive messages from someone, you can also block them.

Now open the conversation between you and him, tap on “!” image icon next to his name, then tap on block this contact.

Also you can check the contacts you have blocked by going to Setting--Messages--Blocked.

Auto Delete Messages

When you want to save some of your iPhone storage space and don’t want to delete your messages one by one, you can set it with auto delete.

Go to Setting--Message, scroll down to find the option “Keep Message”, tap on it and we can see three options, like 30 days, 1 year and forever. You can choose it according to yoru needs.
