Recover Deleted WhatsApp Messages without Backup

Recover Deleted WhatsApp Messages from Local Backup

Since April 2017, the recent WhatsApp update will be done at 2 am every day, including an automatic local backup, and it will be saved on a local storage of the Android phone.

And we can find those conversation from our SD card, please follow below steps and check your deleted WhatsApp messages.

Step 1. Remove the SD card from your Android phone, then insert it to SD card reader. Then go to file path: sdcard/WhatsApp/Databases

Step 2. Then change the name of backup files you need from msgstore-YYYY-MM-DD.1.db.crypt12 to msgstore.db.crypt12. and you don’t need to change the number of the crypt extension.

Step 3. Now uninstall WhatsApp on your Android phone, then reinstall it, and it will prompt a message asking us to restore backups.

Step 4. If you couldn’t find backup files from SD card, you can navigate to “internal storage” or “main storage” folder.

Tips: Please note that recovering WhatsApp messages from SD cards only works for the past 7 days message.
