Save and Backup GIFs on iPhone iPad

It’s easy for us to send GIFs in message app on our iPhone iPad, but how could we save and backup those GIFs on iPhone iPad?

GIF is a kind of image file format which is animated by combining several other images ar frames into a single file. And unlike JPG image, GIFs use composition algorithm, and it won’t degrade the quality of our photos, and it’s easy for us to store them in bytes. Then how could we save and backup GIFs on iPhone? Save GIFs from Website

Firstly, we’ll see how to save GIFs from website, follow below steps.

Step 1. Unlock your iPhone, and open browser on it, and navigate to giphy.com.

Step 2. Then you can see many GIFs there, and search for the GIF you need, click it to open it, and it will prompt to ask you to click and hold on to copy or save it on your iPhone when you’re using iPhone with iOS 11.

Step 3. if you’re using and older iPhone, like iPhone SE, iPhone 6/6plus, iPhone 5, it will ask you to click and hold on until you get some options, like “Save Image”, click it to save GIF.



Save GIFs from Message app

As we can send and receive GIFs on message app, now we’ll see how to save GIFs from Message app.

Step 1. Unlock your iPhone, open Message app.

Step 2. Find the conversation that with GIFs you need to save, now when you’re using an old iPhone, click the GIF and hold on, then you’ll get option “Save”, click it to save your GIF.



Step 3. When you’re using a new iPhone, you can just 3D touch the GIF to save it.
