Different Ways to Access iPhone Data in iTunes

We all know we should do backup on iTunes when we have some important iPhone data, but how do your access iPhone data on iTunes?

iTunes is recommended by Apple to do backup, so many people are doing backup in iTunes, in case, they lost their iPhone data. Then people may concern about the ways to access iPhone data in iTunes, now this article will tell us different ways to access iPhone data in iTunes.

First. Access iPhone data from PC

As iTunes backup files are stored on our PC, so we can check our iTunes backup files directly from our PC.

See below folder address and find the backup files you need:

For Windows: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
For Mac ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/

Tips: we’ll need to find it one by one.

Second. Restore iPhone Data from iTunes

We couldn’t access iPhone data on iTunes directly, but we can restore them firstly, then check those iPhone backup data.

1.Just launching your iTunes, make sure it’s with latest version. Then go to Files--summary, then you can see the file lists on the left bar.

2.Then choose the backup files you need, tap on “Restore Backup” on the right page, and confirm with “Restore”.



Tips: it just doesn’t allow us to preview them and restore backup files selectively.

Third. Access iPhone data on iTunes with iRefone

Step 1. Run iRefone, Launching your iTunes and make sure it’s with latest version. Choose “Recover from iTunes Backup”, then all the files in your iTunes backup will show up.



Step 2. Click “Select” at the end of the files you need, then new interface with data icon that iRefone can recover will show up, such as “Message” icon, tap on it.



Step 3. Wait a few seconds for scanning, then you can preview it, if you need to restore it to your computer or iPhone, just tap on “Recover to PC” or “Recover to Device”



Remark: “Recover to Device” only works for contact, messages and notes right now.
