Ways about recovering lost data after updating to iOS 10

“I updated my iPhone to iOS 10 several days ago, it works great. But unfortunatelly, i lost some iPhone data, like contacts, messages ect. Anyone can help me with recovering lost data after updating to iOS 10?”

Method 1. Recover it from your iTunes Backup Files

If you have backup your files in iTunes, then we can recover lost data from iTunes.
It’s good and fast way to do it, but it just doesn’t allow us to restoring them selectively.

Step 1. Launching iTunes, and connect your iPhone with computer.

Step 2. Click File--Summary, then choose the files you need to restore on the left side. Then tap on “Restore Backup”, and confirm with “Restore”. A few minutes later, you’ll have lost data on your iPhone.



Method 2. Recover it from your iCloud Backup Files

Recovering the lost data from iCloud is also a good way, but it need us to erase all the content and settings.

Step 1. Connect your iPhone with Wifi, and go to Setting--General--Erase all content and settings, when all content and settings are erased, go to set up assistant with a hello screen.

Step 2. Swipe the screen and go on with the setup progress, choose “Restore from iCloud”, then log in iCloud with your Apple ID and password.

Step 3. Tap on the files you need to restore, and the finish time is depending on the file amount you choose.



Method 3. Recover it with the help of iRefone

Remark: “Recover to Device” only workds for notes, messages, and contacts right now.
