Different Ways to backup data on iPhone

Method 1. Backup iPhone Data via iTunes

Backup iPhone data via iTunes is always a good choice, you can check the backup files without your iPhone.

Step 1. Open iTunes and make sure it’s with latest version and connect your iPhone with PC.

Step 2. Go to File/Device--Summary, tap on “Backup Now” on the right page.

You can also choose “Encrypt your iPhone Backup”, and enter a password. If you get “Automatically Backup” option checked, the backup progress will begin as long as you plug your iPhone with PC or Mac.

When finish backup, you can check your backup files from below folder address:

For Windows: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
For Mac ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/

Method 2. Backup iPhone data via iCloud

Another old way to do backup is through iCloud, but the storage of it is limited, when it’s full, it won’t allow us sync any data.

You just need to go to Setting--iCloud, log in it with your Apple ID and password, then tap on “Backup”, and confirm with “Backup Now”.

Remark: Once you need to restore the backup files, it’ll need to erase all content and setting before restoring.

When you need to backup email, contacts, calenders, notes on your iPhone, you can also choose to do it via Gmail.

Make sure you have used your Gmail religiously and want to access your notes through Gmail in any computer.

Step 1. Go to Setting--Email, Contact,Calender,up toward to top, and tap on “Add Account”

Step 2. Choose Google from the list of Google,Yahoo, Aol and Outlook.

Step 3. Log in Gmail account with the ID and password, click “Next” in the upper right corner, and iOS will verify the account.

Step 4. Just follow the guides and select the information you want to synced, including emails, contacts, calenders and notes after verification. Then tap on “Save” in the right upper corner.
