Fix iOS WiFi connection issue

“At first iPhone wifi connection is very slow, then i couldn’t connect my iPhone with Wifi. What should i do to fix iOS wifi connection issue?”

Most of us will experience iOS wifi connection issue. when it’s happening, we couldn’t contact our friends, also we couldn’t work well, or we couldn’t search internet ect. We just have no idea about what’s going on and what to do. It makes us feel so dispirited. Now just cheer up, from this article, you’ll learn some quick tips about how to fix your iOS wifi connection issue.

Restart your iPhone

When there is something wrong with iPhone usage, restart it to see if it help is with no harm. So we often do it.
When your iPhone have the wifi connection issue, you can also restart you iPhone to have a try. You can do it by holding down the sleep/wake button and Home button at the same time, until the screen goes blank and Apple logo appear.

Rejoin the Wifi Network

If you’re asked to input the password of the wifi network, and you couldn’t connect it all the time. Then try to forget the network, then rejoin it to have a try.

Top on the Wifi network from the list under Setting--Wifi, then click on Forgot this Network. Then you may get a prompt asking if you want to forget this network, confirm with “Forgot this network”.

Then go back to Setting--Wifi, and find your network again and input the password to join in it.

Disable Wifi Networking service

If your location is used for Wi-fi networking, you can do it by disable wifi networking service.

Go to Setting--Privacy--Location service--system service, then you’ll see the option “Wi-Fi Networking”, turn it off.

Reset network setting

Most network related issue can be fixed by resetting network setting.

To reset it, please open Setting app, go to Setting--General--Reset, then click “Reset Network setting”.

Restore and setup as new iPhone

When all those methods couldn’t help you, maybe you can restore your iPhone to factory setting via iTunes.
Before restoring, you should make sure your iPhone is with latest version, and backup your iPhone data with iTunes before restoring, because it will erase all your content and setting.
Turn off “Find my Phone” to disable “Activation Lock”, go to Setting--iCloud, tap on “Find my Phone” on/off toggle to disable it.

Now we’ll begin the restoring:

1, Connect your iPhone with PC, click iPhone icon when it appears in iTunes.

2, Click “Restore” under the summary tab, then iTunes will prompt if you want to restore your iOS Device to factory setting, confirm with “Restore” button.

3, when finish restoring, it’ll restart with a hello screen together with “Slide to setup”. Follow the screen guide to set up iOS device. Then you can set it as your new iPhone. And try to connect the wifi again.
