What to do before selling your old iPhone?

“I want to sell my old iPhone and buy a new iPhone X. anything i need to do before selling my old iPhone?”

iPhone X is recently released with full screen, so many people are going to change their old iPhone with a new iPhone X and enjoy its new feature. Now below selling your old iPhone, there are some tips you should know. That is you’d better backup the iPhone data you need and erase all your personal files in iPhone in case other people may see it.

First. Backup iPhone Data in iTunes or iCloud before Selling old iPhone

One. Do backup in iTunes:

1, Launch your iTunes, connect your iPhone with your PC. When it’s recognized, click iPhone image icon.

2, Then you can see “Backup Now” on the right page and confirm with “Backup”.



Two. Do backup in iCloud:

1, Connect your iPhone with Wifi, go to Setting--iCloud, then log in it with your Apple ID and its password.

2, Then turn on iCloud driver and related app button.

3, Tap on “Backup” at the bottom, and confirm with “Backup Now”.



Remark: the storage of iCloud is limited, when it’s full, you couldn’t do backup in it.

Second. Erase All Personal Files on iPhone

After doing the backup, you can erase all your personal files on iPhone and protect your privacy.
And before doing this, you should sigh out your iCloud, otherwise you may deleted all content in your iCloud backup.

1, Go to Settings--iCloud, then scroll down and sign out; for iOS 7 or earlier, you need to click “Deleted Account”.

2, Then tap “Sign out” again , and click “Deleted from my iPhone”.

3, Now go to Settings--General--Reset--Erase all content and setting, if you turn on “Find My iPhone”, you may need to enter your password.

4, Then you can tap on “Erase”, and all your iPhone data are erased, now you could send your old iPhone out.
